Setting up Windows Mail

Instructions

Here are the steps to configure Windows Live Mail :

  1. Launch Outlook Windows Live Mail.



  2. From the main windows, click Accounts tab. Then click add new account icon (see the picture).



  3. You will be prompted to enter your email account details and tick Manually configure server settings. Then click Next to continue (All the information on the picture is an example).



  4. To configure a POP3 account, follow below steps :

    • Choose POP as Server type and fill in the server information as requested. Then click Next.



    • Click Finish to complete the settings.



    If you want to configure an IMAP account, please follow below steps :

    • Choose IMAP as Server type and fill in the server information as requested. Then click Next.



    • Click Finish to complete the settings.



    • If the IMAP connection successful, you will see the IMAP folder will sync after you completed the new account creation.
